1. Huasteca Potosina in San Luis Potosí

The Huasteca Potosina is a large space in the state of San Luis Potosí, which brings together a set of municipalities and attractions, as if you were in a small country, ready to enjoy all possible charms.
Its epicenter is Ciudad Valles, where the largest hotel capacity is located. Nearby is Micos, with its beautiful stepped waterfalls. In Aquismón, the Sótano de las Golondrinas awaits you, a dizzying abyss over 500 meters deep, full of birds. In the municipality of Xilitla, the great attraction is the Surrealist Garden of Sir Edward James.
Tamuín is notable for its archaeological sites. The Huasteca Potosina is a whole microcosm of charming places for tourists.
2. Bacalar in Quitana Roo

If in the Huasteca Potosina you have a great variety of places to enjoy, Bacalar is enough with one, its lagoon, to offer you an unforgettable vacation.
The also called Laguna de los Siete Colores is impressive for its beauty, its rapids, its stromatolites and especially for its bewitching cenotes.
The lagoon is also a fashionable place for jet boating and other water sports. Outside the water, the town of Bacalar has other places of tourist interest, such as the San Felipe Neri Fort and the Caste War Museum.
3. Cascadas de Hierve el Agua, Oaxaca

The name may initially make you think of steaming waterfalls, but this natural wonder of the state of Oaxaca is a group of petrified waterfalls.
The stony waterfalls were formed over the millennia, by dripping water saturated with carbonates, in the same way that stalactites and stalagmites are erected in caves. The fascinating place is the Oaxacan population of San Isidro Roaguía and it is also an archaeological site of interest, due to a Zapotec system of irrigation and terraces.
Pozas de Xilitla en San Luis Potosí

Splendidly combining the work of man with that of nature, in the Potosí municipality of Xilitla there is a spectacular artistic ensemble, made by the wealthy Scottish sculptor of the 20th century, Edward Jones.
The architectural and sculptural conglomerate is located in a beautiful area of more than 300 thousand square meters and the artistic pieces are admirably integrated into waterfalls, pools, gardens and other components of the natural environment. These include The Stairway to Heaven, The Bedroom with a Whale-Shaped Roof, and LaCasa de los Peristilos, to name just three.
5. Islas Marietas

They are two uninhabited Nayarit islands, called Isla Redonda and Isla Larga. They are frequented for their beautiful beaches, ideal for diving, snorkeling and observing underwater life.
They are also visited by bird watchers, particularly to see the rare blue-footed gannet.
In April 2016, the authorities made the decision to temporarily close the islands to visitors, because their ecosystems were being put under excessive pressure.
